The story began in Crystal River, Florida, with Mary Gray Bunch (1886–1987), affectionately known as the original "Cake Lady" of Crystal River. Her passion for baking, hospitality, and community established the foundation of a family tradition carried forward by her daughter, Helen Bunch, renowned for her sweet potato pies, and later by Theola Bunch McCray, celebrated for her exceptional baking and culinary talents. Today, Andrea K. McCray proudly continues this legacy. With more than 40 years of experience in cake commissions, she has become known for crafting luxury custom cakes that transform confections into couture—blending the timeless artistry of scratch baking with refined luxury design.
